Interview: Alan Page Talks Children's Book, Race In America

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Justice Alan Page has served on the Minnesota Supreme Court eight years longer than he played in the NFL.

His career with the Vikings led to a place in the football Hall of Fame, and he's recently added another title to his name – children's book author.

Page sat down with Esme Murphy on WCCO Sunday Morning to talk about a book he wrote, along with his daughter, entitled, "The Invisible You."

The project is aimed at improving literacy among children, especially those of color.

The idea behind the book is that although people may look different on the outside, everyone goes through very similar experiences, whether it's nervousness about starting school or any other endeavor.

The book is available to purchase here.

Also on WCCO Sunday Morning, Page was asked about his thoughts on domestic abuse in the NFL and race relations in America. To hear his responses, watch the video above.
