Wild's Ryan Suter Visits Mpls. Ronald McDonald House

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Families at the Ronald McDonald House in Minneapolis got a special post-Christmas treat Friday morning.

Minnesota Wild Star Ryan Suter dropped by to say hello and hang out.

The Ronald McDonald House announced Suter, and his wife Becky, will serve as official ambassadors for the charity.

The organization gives families a home away from home when their children are in need of special care.

"We have two kids of our own, and whenever you can help with great causes and organizations that help kids, it's exciting to be a part of," Suter said.

Families staying at the Ronald McDonald House are provided with lodging, meals, schooling and activities during their stay – all free of charge.

The program has grown from serving 400 families to nearly 4,000 families each year.
