1 Dead In Blue Earth Co. Car Accident

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – One person is dead, and two others injured, after a two-car crash in Blue Earth County Saturday.

According to the incident report, the accident occurred around 9:19 a.m. on Highway 14.

Police said a 1998 Chevrolet Malibu was traveling northbound on County Road 48 when it did not stop at a stop sign at the intersection of Hwy 14.

The Malibu's driver, Alyssa S. Winters, 35, of North Mankato, died from injuries sustained in the crash.

The Malibu then collided with an eastbound Toyota Prius, driven by 31-year-old Dyani Ladd of Mankato.

Ladd and 26-year-old Anthony Thomson of Brownsdale, who was a passenger in the Prius, sustained non-life threatening injuries.

Minnesota State Patrol is currently investigating the accident.
