Isanti Co. Deputy, Passerby Pull Elderly Woman From Fire
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- An Isanti County deputy pulled an 81-year-old woman from a house fire with the help of a passerby Monday morning, according to the Isanti County Sheriff's Office.
At 8:07 a.m., Isanti County Dispatch was notified of an attached garage fire, located on 2001 413th Ave. NW in Maple Ridge. Another call reported that one family member was still inside the home, which was also on fire.
Upon arrival, a deputy and a passerby pulled the female victim from the home. She was then flown to the Hennepin County Medical Center where she is in critical condition.
Several family members, the deputy and the passerby were treated for smoke inhalation and minor injuries.
The fire is under investigation.
