MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A Minneapolis police officer is recovering after being involved in a crash early Friday morning.

Police said the officer was trying to catch up to someone or something when the officer struck a parked car.READ MORE: Minnesota Gophers Beat Maryland 34-16
There was no one inside the car when it was hit.
