MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The NFL announced Sunday that the NFL Network will partner with CBS to broadcast at least eight games for Thursday Night Football during the 2015 season.

NFL officials said CBS will broadcast the first eight Thursday Night Football games, which will also be simulcast on NFL Network. The NFL Network will have the exclusive broadcast rights to broadcast the last eight games leading up to the playoffs.

Officials said the agreement is for the 2015 season with an additional year at the NFL’s option.

CBS will enter its 56th year of broadcasting the NFL in 2015, including the Super Bowl.
