MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — The Minnesota women’s basketball team has added another in-state player.

Sophomore guard Allina Starr has decided to transfer from Auburn. The 5-foot-10 former star at DeLaSalle High School in Minneapolis can begin practicing with the Gophers immediately, but per NCAA rules she must sit out of competition until after the 2015 fall semester. Starr will then have three years of remaining eligibility.
