Minnesota Trucker Dies In Wisconsin Crash

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A Minnesota man was killed Wednesday after the semi-truck he was driving lost control on Interstate 94 in western Wisconsin, authorities said.

The Wisconsin State Patrol responded to the crash at about 6:47 p.m. on eastbound Interstate 94 in Dunn County near Eau Claire. When officers arrived, a semi-tractor trailer heading eastbound on I-94 went off the road and onto the right shoulder, striking the guard rail and barriers for County Highway E.

Emergency responders attempted CPR on the driver, but he was pronounced dead at the scene. The man was identified by authorities as 61-year-old Dana Marvin Salisbury of Pengilly, Minn.

The Dunn County Sheriff's Department, Menomonie Police and Fire Departments and Dunn County Highway Department provided assistance at the scene.
