NEW ULM, Minn. (AP) — Authorities are investigating after a partially clothed man was found dead in a residential alley in New Ulm.

Cmdr. Dave Borchert of the New Ulm Police Department says the body was discovered Thursday morning. He says the man wasn’t wearing a shirt or jacket and investigators have determined his body was outside for less than 12 hours.

KEYC reports that the man has been identified as 41-year-old Alec John Stands. Authorities don’t expect foul play, but autopsy results are pending.

The Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is assisting the New Ulm police Department with the investigation.
