1 Injured After Car Crashes Into School Bus In Wis.

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – One person was injured after a car crashed into a school bus carrying 45 students in northwestern Wisconsin Tuesday afternoon.

According to the accident report, the crash occurred around 3:50 p.m. Tuesday on State Highway 13, just south of Redinger Road in Ashland, Wis.

Authorities said the school bus was stopped on Highway 13 when it was rear-ended by a Toyota Corolla.

There were 45 children between the ages of 5 and 11 on the bus.

Police said no kids were injured, but all were taken to Ashland Memorial Medical Center as a precautionary measure. They have since been released.

The driver of the car, a 49-year-old male from Ashland, was also taken to Ashland Memorial Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

He was later transferred to St. Mary's. His condition is unknown at this time.

There were no other passengers in the car.

The bus driver was not injured.
