Authorities Believe 2 Fell Through Ice On Lake Benton

LAKE BENTON, MINN. (WCCO) – Two people have been reported missing following an ice fishing trip in Lake Benton, according to the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office.

Authorities say 29-year-old Brianna Jean Thooft and 54-year-old Bradley Allen Lund were last heard from since on early Sunday morning. They were reported missing later that evening.

On Monday, authorities found evidence indicating Thooft and Lund's vehicle may have fallen through the ice near Norwegian Creek Campground, just north of Lake Benton.

A multi-agency search continues Wednesday morning, and authorities are asking anyone with information about the missing pair to contact the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office at (507)-694-1664.
