Charges: 3 Women Accused Of Assault At St. Paul Transit Station

ST. PAUL, Minn. (WCCO) – Three women are accused of assault in connection with an incident last October at a St. Paul transit center, according to charges filed Thursday by the Ramsey County Attorney.

Kieviet Michaelle Harris, 39 and her two daughters, Stacie Ana Fields and Chellnea Kieviet Fields, both 19, all of St. Paul, have been charged with third-degree riot and fifth-degree assault in connection with the incident.

According to a criminal complaint, Metro Transit Police were called at about 4:32 p.m. on Oct. 18, 2014, to the Sunray Transit Center on the 300 block of Pederson Street on a report of two victims being assaulted. When police arrived, an investigation and surveillance video showed the three women at the location.

The complaint states that before the three women entered the transit center, Harris was carrying a tire iron. Once entering the transit center, her two daughters immediately began assaulting two victims with their fists. Harris displayed the tire iron to prevent others from intervening and also hit one of the victims with the tire iron.

The complaint states Harris also pushed one of the victims with her hip to help her daughter in the assault.

If all three are convicted, they face a maximum penalty of more than a year in jail and $4,000 in fines.
