2 Treated For Smoke Inhalation After Stearns Co. Mobile Home Fire
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Two adults were treated for smoke inhalation after a mobile home caught fire in Stearns Co. Thursday night.
According to the Stearns County Sheriff's Office, officers received a call around 10:30 p.m. Thursday of a fire in a mobile home that was thought to be occupied in the 18400 block of 332nd Street in Avon Township.
Upon arrival, fire crews were able to clear all of the people out of the mobile home.
Officials said the fire appeared to have started, and been contained, to one bedroom that was distinguished before crews arrived.
Crews determined the fire had been started by a 7-year-old that was playing with a lighter near a bunk bed.
According to the Stearns County Sheriff's office, two adults that were in the home were treated for smoke inhalation. No other injuries were reported.
The home sustained smoke, fir and water damage.
None of the occupants needed to be transported to the hospital.
