State Patrol Investigates Fatal Crash In Owatonna

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- One person was killed Saturday afternoon in a car crash in Owatonna.

The Minnesota State Patrol says the fatal crash happened at about 1:42 p.m. on Interstate 35 north of Hoffman Street.

A Chevy Impala travelling northbound on I-35 crossed the median, colliding with a southbound Toyota Camry driven by 66-year-old Diane Evenson of Minneapolis.

She died at the scene.

The driver of the Impala is listed as having non-life threatening injuries, in stable condition.

Saturday's crash was the fourteenth traffic fatality on Minnesota roads this month.

In January, nine people were killed on state roads.
