2 In Custody After Police Chase Ends At St. Paul High School

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Police have two people in custody Friday after a late-night chase that went from Minneapolis into St. Paul.

According to police, around 10 p.m. Thursday officers received information that a wanted felon, who was possibly armed, was driving near 25th Avenue North and Newton Avenue.

Officers located the car and attempted to make a stop. As they tried to pull the car over, the vehicle fled.

Police said they then followed the SUV east on Interstate 94 into St. Paul for more than 15 minutes.

The suspect left the freeway, driving into St. Paul, and drove through a fence at Central High School.

Police said the SUV then got stuck in the snow and police were able to arrest the two people inside.

One of the suspects faces an outstanding felony warrant. The second suspect was booked on drug charges.

No one was injured at the high school. Police did not find a weapon.

The case is currently under investigation.
