Gophers Football Opens Spring Practice March 3

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Coming off its second straight 8-5 season and third consecutive season to end with a bowl game, the University of Minnesota football team opens spring practice on Tuesday.

Coach Jerry Kill said the first two practices of the Gophers' spring season, on March 3 and 5, will not be open to the public. The other 13 practices, starting with Saturday, March 7, will be open to the public.

Minnesota's spring football season concludes with the team's spring game, which is at 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 11, at TCF Bank Stadium. The game is free and open to the public.
