MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — If I scream, and you scream, and we all scream for ice cream, there’s going to be a whole lot of screaming next Monday.

Dairy Queen said it plans to give away free vanilla ice cream cones to celebrate their 75th anniversary.

The Minneapolis-based chain picked March 16 to celebrate because that will be the 75th day of the year.

The company is will also be asking for customers to consider using the money they saved toward donations to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.

Company officials said the ice cream giveaway is only one of several things Dairy Queen has planned to celebrate its anniversary this year.
