
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Authorities are on the scene of a fatal head-on crash on Interstate 94 in Minneapolis that will cause major delays for the evening commute.
The accident happened just after 3 p.m. Monday on eastbound I-94 at Highway 280 in Minneapolis. The Minnesota State Patrol said the eastbound lanes of I-94 are closed at Highway 280 and at Huron Boulevard while emergency crews assess the scene.

Vue, 63, was heading westbound on I-94 and crossed the median into the eastbound lanes, hitting another vehicle head-on. Vue was killed in the incident, while the other driver suffered non-life threatening injuries.
Authorities said there is no median barrier in that area.
