MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — A former lunch room assistant at Simley High School/Inver Grove Heights Middle School is accused of sending inappropriate sexual photos to a male student on his iPad, according to charges filed in Dakota County Court.
Krista Ann Muccio, 41 of Inver Grove Heights, was charged with communication with a minor describing sexual conduct and possession of pornographic work involving minors, both felonies, in connection with the case.
According to a complaint, officers with the Inver Grove Heights Police Department spoke with an adult male On Nov. 29, 2014, after he found inappropriate pictures on his son’s iPad. The boy was 15 years old at the time, and his father found the pictures on the devices “recently deleted” folder.
The complaint states the pictures were a close-up of a female’s genitals, a picture of a woman naked from the waist up with no face and a picture of the woman’s backside wearing a thong. The pictures were sent using Instagram.
The account used to send the pictures was Muccio’s. The boy had known her as she was a lunch lady at Simley High School, which is shared with Inver Grove Heights Middle School, since about halfway through his eighth grade year. The complaint states she started sending the boy pictures on Instagram in June of 2014, one of which was Muccio in a swimming suit.
The boy sent back pictures that we also sexual in nature at her request, according to the complaint.
Authorities executed a search warrant at the woman’s home. She told police it was her Instagram account, that she communicated with the boy outside of school, sent him pictures of “girls in bikinis” and that he sent her a picture that was sexual in nature in return.
The complaint states that through the search warrant, authorities discovered Muccio had been having sexually explicit conversations with the boy in November of 2014. The two exchanged pictures, and she told him how she would perform sexual acts on him.
If convicted, Muccio faces up to eight years in prison and $10,000 in fines.
