Ghost Towns Of The West CD Release @ Cabooze - Preview Story
Friday, April 10

Despite geographical difficulties between bandmates, Minneapolis-based rockers, Ghost Towns Of The West, aren't saying "farewell" just yet.

Upon first listening of the new album, "Shadows In Light," it's immediately apparent that they aren't shying away from a big sound: driving percussion, effects-driven guitars and crunchy bass — fused with vocals that almost take a backseat to rest of the band (without sounding drowned out).

Doors open on Friday at 8 p.m. with music starting at 9 p.m. The other bands include Red Daughters, Little Man and Chiefs Of The North. Tickets are $7.

The Awful Truth Album Release @ Icehouse
Saturday, April 11

Self-proclaimed "brooding" pop artists The Awful Truth are releasing their new album, "Lakewater" at the Icehouse Saturday. Listen to these guys. It actually sounds like they're revealing some awful truth to you – in a beautiful, melodic way.

Willie Walker @ The Minnesota Music Café

He's a soul survivor and a soul legend. Willie Walker – also known as Wee Willie Walker to some – is bringing his Sam Cooke-esque vocals to the Minnesota Music Café on Sunday at 4 p.m. He'll perform until 8 p.m.
