MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – It’s the day before Friday! That means we need to plan our weekend. WCCO This Morning’s Kim Johnson has some fun affordable things to do for the whole family.
This is not your neighborhood garage sale.
This weekend at the Minnesota State Fair Grounds is the Munchkin Market. Join over 500 families to sell your gently used baby and kid’s items at St. Paul’s premier children’s consignment sale.
Shoppers will find thousands of children’s items including clothing, high chairs, strollers, cribs shoes and toys all at prices 40-90 percent off retail! The sale is going on Saturday and Sunday.
On Saturday, 15,000 people are expected to March for Babies at the Mall of America.
For the first time walkers from nine separate March for Babies events across Minnesota will come together for one unified walk. Walkers are on a mission to support moms and babies with a goal of raising $1 million for community programs, research, education and vaccines.
It’s the best of Minnesota wine, food and beer!
Savor Minnesota is a rare opportunity to taste everything Minnesota wineries have to offer, as well as samples from dozens of craft breweries and food producers, all in a single afternoon.
The 6th annual Savor Minnesota is Saturday at Canterbury Park. Admission is $45 at the door. Proceeds are used to fund scholarships at the University of Minnesota and for the Minnesota Grape Growers’ annual Cold Climate Conference.
Grab a partner and enter the The Great Amazing Race.
Modeled after the popular television show “The Amazing Race,” teams of two people, adults and kids, race against other teams around a one-mile cross country course completing a string of fun challenges speckled every 200 yards. The race is $48 for team of two and takes place this Sunday at Kenwood Park in Minneapolis. Proceeds support Pediatric Cancer.
