MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — From the Hubble Space Telescope celebrating a big milestone to mixes for Girl Scout cookies, here are the four stories you need to know for Friday, April 24.
Wild To Redeem Themselves?
Let’s go Wild! Game 5 of the Western Conference Quarterfinals is Friday night in St. Louis.
The Minnesota Wild are hoping to rebound from Wednesday’s 6-1 loss to the Blues.
The best-of-seven series is tied at two games apiece.
The puck drops at 8:30 p.m.
Game 6 is in St. Paul on Sunday. No time has been announced for that game.
Binge Drinking & Women
Women are consuming more alcohol. Nationwide, women’s binge drinking rates increased more than 11 percent between 2005 and 2012.
Researchers are mapping out what is happening county by county to pinpoint specific health needs and challenges for certain groups of people.
Binge drinking is more than four drinks at one time for women and five for men.
Happy Birthday, Hubble Telescope!
To celebrate the anniversary, check out the video above! It’s a 3-D flight through Star Cluster Westerlund 2.
This is a visualization put together from amazing photos the telescope has taken recently.
This cluster is relatively young — many of the stars you see are only 1 to 2 million years old.
