Blaine Man Convicted Of Sex Trafficking To Duluth Motel

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) - A 36-year-old Blaine, Minnesota, man has been found guilty of sex trafficking for prostituting an 18-year-old woman in a Duluth, Minnesota, motel room.

Rahmad Lashad Geddes, who went by the street names of "Poo Poo" and "Face," according to the U.S. Attorney's Office, brought the woman to Duluth from her hometown of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, on Jan. 6, 2014.

Geddes used an anonymous prepaid credit card to pay for a commercial sex advertisement on Backpage.com.

Once, he accused the woman of hiding money and physically assaulted her, the attorney's office said.

Geddes returned the woman to Eau Claire on Jan. 14, 2014, and the woman told her pastor that she "had been used for prostitution."

Geddes has four previous felony convictions, including one as a result of trading drugs for semi-automatic handguns.

He was convicted on Monday of one count of sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion, one count of transportation with intent to engage in in prostitution and one count of being an armed career criminal in possession of a firearm.
