MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — A Cambridge man is charged with kidnapping and sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl.

According to the complaint, 19-year-old Joshua Lanerd forced the girl into a van at a park near Pine City Elementary School on Sunday afternoon.

The driver, Cody Pokela, drove them and a third man, Daniel Soderberg, to a remote area.

That’s where the girl says Pokela and Soderberg got out, and Lanerd assaulted the girl. They later dropped her off near the park.

Police arrested the men early Monday morning.

According to court papers, the three were joking with each other on the way to jail.
