MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — If you’re in downtown Minneapolis this weekend, you’re bound to see some interesting characters.

“Some of the outfits you see are very impressive, and then some of them are interesting,” vendor Michael Crane said.
Vendors were busy setting up Thursday and Friday morning, getting ready for the convention that’s expected to bring tens of thousands of people to Minneapolis.

Chuck Mayfield has collected and sold comics for 50 years. More common collectables can go for a few bucks, but rare ones can cost a lot more.
“A single issue can go for $2 million,” Mayfield said.
