Arcia Heads To Disabled List, Twins Recall Eddie Rosario

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Minnesota Twins host the Oakland Athletics Monday night at Target Field, and one of the organization's top young prospects will be in uniform.

The Twins announced that Oswaldo Arcia has been placed on the 15-day disabled list with a right hip flexor strain. He suffered the injury in Sunday's win over the White Sox. To replace him on the roster, the Twins recalled outfielder Eddie Rosario from Class AAA Rochester.

Rosario, 23, had played in 23 games for the Red Wings and was hitting .242 with two doubles, one triple three home runs and 12 RBI. When he sees the field, it will be his Major League debut.

Before getting hurt, Arcia had been hitting .276 in 19 games with two home runs and eight RBI.
