Sheriff: Wis. Teacher Investigated For Inappropriate Contact With Teen
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A 25-year-old teacher in Cumberland, Wisconsin is being investigated for possible inappropriate contact with a 17-year-old student.
The Barron County Sheriff's office says Courtney Jensen, of Cumberland, is a fifth-grade teacher and a coach in the Cumberland School District.
She is on administrative leave pending the investigation of her relationship with a teenage girl in the district.
Authorities say Jensen is cooperating with the investigation. She will appear in court Wednesday at 10 a.m., where she is expected to face formal charges.
Cumberland police are assisting the sheriff's office in the investigation. Anyone with any information concerning this case is asked to contact either department.
