Major Construction Project Starts Monday In St. Paul

ST. PAUL, Minn. (WCCO) -- Start planning your detours now because a major construction project is about to begin in St. Paul that will give motorists a few headaches.

Just before midnight Monday, the Snelling Avenue bridge will be closed and it'll stay shut down through the middle of August. A mile-and-a half stretch of Snelling, from Selby Avenue to Pierce Butler Route, is being resurfaced.

Drivers on eastbound Interstate 94 won't be able to exit onto Snelling Avenue. Detour signs are posted.
