Cass County Sheriff: 2 Men Dead From Apparent Gunshot Wounds

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Cass County Sheriff's Office is investigating after two men died from apparent gunshot wounds Tuesday evening.

On May 12 at 7:18 p.m., the sheriff's office received a call for medical assistance at a home on the 8700 block of Midway Drive NW near Walker, Minnesota.

When emergency responders arrived, they found the victims suffering from the apparent gunshot wounds and requiring medical attention. One of the victims, a 60-year-old man, was pronounced dead inside the residence.

The other victim, a 57-year-old man, was taken by helicopter to a hospital in Fargo. He later died.

The victims, who have not yet been identified, have been taken to the Ramsey County Medical Examiner's Office for autopsy. The incident remains under investigation.

Further details have not been released, but investigators believe there is no imminent danger to the citizens of Cass County.
