Missing Aitkin Co. Man Found Deceased
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The body of a missing Aitkin County man has been located in Pine County, according to officials.
The Pine County Sheriff's Office said officials recovered the body of Edward Schultz, 57, in Mud Lake.
Schultz was reported missing on April 28. On April 29 his vehicle was located in rural Pine County roughly a mile-and-a-half from Mud Lake. The search was then expanded on May 12 to include search by helicopter.
The Mille Lacs Tribal Police Department, Minnesota Department of Natural Resources and Hinckley Fire Department assisted in the efforts to locate Schultz.
The cause of death is currently being investigated.
