Child, 1, Dies After Being Run Over By Man Moving Car

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Officials in northern Minnesota say a 1-year-old child died Monday night after being run over by a man moving his car.

The Hubbard County Sheriff's Office says the child was found dead on Dovetail Road, near Park Rapids. An investigation showed that 51-year-old Roderick Dewinter, of Park Rapids, had driven to the child's home and struck the child when moving his car.

The child's name has not been released.

Officials say the incident remains under investigation.
