Man Injured By Boat Propeller While Tubing In Douglas Co.

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A 29-year-old man was seriously injured after being struck by a boat propeller while tubing on a Douglas County lake Thursday afternoon.

Nicholas Didier Galler, of Hedgesville, West Virginia, suffered lacerations to his right calf and leg in the accident on Lake Irene, according to Douglas County Sheriff's office. He was airlifted to an area hospital.

Forty-four-year-old Matthew Link Dockins, of Wentzville, Missouri, was operating the boat. He is not expected to face any criminal charges.
