Man Killed In Jackson County Crash Identified

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Authorities say a 65-year-old man was killed when a teen driver failed to stop at a stop sign in Jackson County Thursday night.

The Minnesota State Patrol said the crash happened just before 7 p.m.

Authorities said a 2003 Pontiac Grand Prix was on County Road 29 and failed to stop at County Road 34, which is serving as a detour for Highway 4.

The Pontiac broadsided a 2007 Dodge Charger, which caught on fire following the crash.

The driver of the Dodge, 65-year-old Dwight Krogman of Sherburn, Minnesota, died of his injuries.

There were three 17-year-olds in the other vehicle, all from Iowa. None sustained life-threatening injuries.
