MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Norwegian-Americans in Minnesota have a new place to learn about and celebrate Norwegian heritage.
A 12,000-square-foot Education Center addition to Norway House in Minneapolis just opened.
The non-profit is dedicated to linking Norwegian-Americans to their heritage and to modern-day Norway.
The center features gallery space, classrooms and a coffee bar.
Organizers say two-and-a-half-million Norwegian-Americans live within a 300 mile radius of the Twin Cities.
The Education Center grand opening celebration continues through the weekend.
