Andover Dad Earns Father Of The Year Award

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – It's been an extra special Father's Day for a dad from Andover.

The National Center for Fathering named Stephen Landry Minnesota's Father of the Year.

Landry is a high school math teacher and has four kids.

His daughter, Grace, wrote an essay nominating her dad for Father of the Year.

She said her dad calls her a princess penguin. She says that makes her happy and makes her laugh when she is feeling sad.

The National Center for Fathering has been recognizing Minnesota Dads through the essay contest for 20 years.
