MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A 13-year-old boy was injured Tuesday night when the tractor he was driving collided with a semi-truck.

According to the accident report, at 10:32 p.m. police responded to a two vehicle accident on Highway 23 and County Road 10 in Roscoe, just west of Cold Spring.

State Patrol said Derek N. Ley, of Richmond, was hauling hay bales with a tractor. Ley crossed Highway 23 from a south ditch when an eastbound semi-truck, driven by 53-year-old Mark B. Barber, of Alexandria, crashed into the tractor.

Ley was hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries. He is expected to be OK.

Barber suffered no apparent injury.
