Authorities said the crash happened Tuesday morning on eastbound I-94 near Dalton in northwestern Minnesota. The scene is just south and east of Fergus Falls in Otter Tail County. A 2010 Dodge Ram pick-up truck rolled in the median of I-94, killing two teenagers from Moorhead.

They were identified as 18-year-old Zachary R. Kvalvog and 14-year-old Connor Kvalvog. Jimmy L. Morton, 18 of Jackson, Miss., and 17-year-old Mark R. Schwandt of Moorhead were also injured in the crash. Morton's injuries were serious, and Schwandt's were non-life threatening.

The four were heading to a basketball tournament in Wisconsin Dells, representing a team from Park Christian High School in Moorhead.

A surviving passenger in the truck told the State Patrol that a semi-truck was extremely close to the pick-up at the time of the crash. The semi-truck was eastbound on I-94 from the accident scene at about 9:08 a.m. The truck is described as a white box-type trailer with a green or red tractor.
