MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — The owners of Nye’s Polonaise Room say that they will remain open a bit longer than they originally intended.

“The outpouring of Nye’s followers to grab one more Jumbo while enjoying Pierogis, Piano and Polka gave us no choice but to expand the opportunity to pay tribute to the Nye’s Legacy,” said Rob and Tony Jacob in a release.

According to reports, Nye’s was originally supposed to close its doors sometime later this summer or in fall.

The Polonaise Room is shuttering to make way for a new high-rise residential building, with some commercial space underneath.
