ATV Driver Found Dead In Rural St. Louis Co. Creek

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A bicyclist discovered the aftermath of a fatal ATV crash Saturday morning in St. Louis County.

The sheriff's office says a passerby was biking in rural Biwabik Township when they came across an ATV resting in a creek with its motor running.

The passerby soon discovered the ATV's driver dead in the water. Investigators believe the driver hit a tree after going off the road and into a steep ditch, and eventually landed in the creek.

The victim's identity has not been released. The St. Louis County Sheriff's Office is investigating
