Woman Dies After Diving Exercises In Wisconsin Lake
TOWN OF BROCKWAY, Wis. (AP) — Authorities say a woman taking part in diving exercises in a Wisconsin lake has died.
The Jackson County Sheriff's Office says it received a report around 11:30 a.m. Saturday of an unresponsive diver at Wazee Lake Recreation Area in the Town of Brockway. Authorities say a 54-year-old woman participating in diving exercises was not breathing.
The sheriff's office says efforts to resuscitate her began once she was brought to the surface. She was taken to a nearby medical facility and was pronounced dead.
The lake is about 57 miles southeast of Eau Claire.
