MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — There was a pretty good crowd appreciating French culture in Minneapolis early Sunday afternoon.

The Bastille Day Block Party is an annual event at Barbette in Uptown. Bastille Day is also known as “French National Day,” commemorating the day the crowds stormed a prison at the beginning of the French Revolution.

Along with French-inspired food, the community was invited to enjoy live music, crafts, and a laid back afternoon with friends.
