Minneapolis Mayor Betsy Hodges To Meet With Pope At Vatican
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Minneapolis Mayor Betsy Hodges is preparing for a unique trip to the Vatican next week.
She's one of nine U.S. mayors who will meet Pope Francis at a conference on climate change and human trafficking. The conferences aim to raise awareness about these global problems within local communities.
Since taking office, Hodges has pushed for clean energy initiaitves. She said she looks forward to learning how Minneapolis can join in more global efforts and share the city's accomplishments.
