After Being Slammed By Storms, Madden's Looks To Reopen On July 28
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – One of the most popular Brainerd Lakes-area resorts damaged by recent storms says it will be mostly back up and running next week.
Madden's On Gull Lake said on Sunday that the resort has power and that it plans to reopen two-thirds of its buildings on July 28.
Earlier this month, storms whipped through northern Minnesota. Strong winds knocked over trees and ripped the roof off a Madden's building, forcing the resort to close at the height of vacation season.
As a result, many people looking for a summer getaway had to change their plans.
Currently, the resort's driving range and Classic Grill restaurant are open.
