Ahead Of Training Camp, Rudolph Hosts Football Camp For Kids

EDINA, Minn. (WCCO) -- Football season is almost here. The Minnesota Vikings report to training camp on Saturday in Mankato.

Vikings tight end Kyle Rudolph got a little bit of a head start on the week Monday, hosting his own football camp for kids at the Edina Community Center. More than 250 kids in grades 1-8 attended. They were learning the fundamentals of football from a guy that the Vikings expect big things from this upcoming season.

For Rudolph, it's pretty much the last fun thing he gets to do before the grind of the season begins, and he relishes it.

"I probably get more out of it than the kids do at times, running around with these guys. You just see the energy and enthusiasm that they have for the game of football," Rudolph said. "The kids have a ton of fun and you come out here and see them running around, it gets me excited here for Saturday when we get to go to camp."
