Elko Speedway Races Into Its 50th Year

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Elko Speedway is celebrating its 50th anniversary. The track has attracted racing legends like Jeff Gordon in years past.

There will be dueling monster trucks, school bus racing, bull rides and a petting zoo for kids Saturday night at the "Eve of Destruction."

Gates open at 5 p.m. with the action beginning at 6 p.m. Tickets are $15 for adults and $5 for kids ages 4 to 12.

They have events every Saturday night through September, and stock cars are available to rent for charity events and group outings.
