Amp Up Your Workout With Strong Pre, Post Meals
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – We all have heard that "food is fuel."
But, when it comes to working out the food your eat before and after can make a huge difference in results. Meals can help determine your results, energy and recuperation.
WCCO Fitness Expert Ali Holman from CoreCamper.com showed WCCO Mid-Morning what to eat before and after your workout for optimal results.
CoreCamper BEET Picnic Salad
Ingredients
3 seedless cucumbers (cubed)
1 carton grape tomatoes (halved)
3 cans organic beets (no salt & cut in quarters)
2 cans organic chick peas
1 can black pitted olives (chopped)
1 Good Seasoning packet mixed with red wine vinegar
Directions
Drain and rinse chick peas, beets and olives.
Chop all veggies as directed above or to your liking.
Toss gently.
Mix dressing & pour 1/2 of the bottle over salad (or to your liking).
Chill & serve!
