East Ridge High School Football Coach Resigns Amid Controversy

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The East Ridge High School football coach turned in his resignation Monday.

Mike Pendino's team forfeited the conference and section titles it won the past two years, for using an ineligible player. WCCO has confirmed there was an investigation into Pendino, but the district didn't take any disciplinary action.

The athletic director stepped down in July and the school's principal resigned at the end of last year after a complaint about misuse of money. There are now criminal charges against him.
