Two Harbors is a beautiful three-hour drive north of the Twin Cities. It's biggest attraction? Minnesota's biggest lake, of course, Lake Superior! Liz Collin and Lauren Casey are showing us all of the great sights and signs of this great spot up north.

Goin' To The Lake: Castle Danger Brewery

For Day 2, they're spending their Friday afternoon at Castle Danger Brewery, the perfect place to warm up on a cool and drizzly day by the lake.

The tap house is new to the area -- they've only been open a year, but business is booming. You'll find nine beers on tap -- five of are always there while the other four change with the season.

In the back you'll find them brewing up those different beers. Owners Clint and Jamie MacFarlane say their biggest seller is the cream ale. We had lots of viewers recommend this place and they were right -- it's worth the stop!

Goin' To The Lake: Kayak Festival

Castle Danger is also one of the sponsors of the Kayak Festival in Two Harbors this weekend. It kicks off Saturday at Burlington Bay on Lake Superior.

On Friday, organizers were getting the kayaks all set to go. All the racers check in Friday evening to get their packets, then it's go time on Saturday. But the Kayak Festival isn't just for the pros -- it caters to newbies and experienced kayakers alike!

Goin' To The Lake: Vanilla Bean

Liz and Lauren were planning on grabbing a bite to eat out on the kayaks, but the weather just wouldn't cooperate. Instead, they managed to find a great spot to eat in Two Harbors -- the Vanilla Bean Restaurant. It's worth stopping to give it a try!

Goin' To The Lake: 3M Museum

There's another local spot to check out when the weather isn't cooperating -- Two Harbors was the birthplace of 3M, and the company's first headquarters have been converted into the 3M Museum. Inside, you'll find all kinds of cool things that the company invented, like Post-Its, lint rollers, and Scotch tape. There's even an entire room dedicated to 3M's sandpaper.

Goin' To The Lake: Gooseberry Falls

But the weather didn't ruin all their plans this weekend -- Liz and Lauren managed to catch a glimpse of some beautiful views over Palisade Head near Silver Bay on the lake! It's a very popular spot for hikers and rock climbers.

You can also hike some amazing trails at Gooseberry Falls State Park. Liz and Lauren even found a spot there that many folks don't even know exists!
