Tips For Fighting Off Approaching Fall Allergies
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- As summer winds down, some of us will notice more sniffing and sneezing.
Fall allergies will start to reappear real soon. If things like ragweed leave your eyes and nose itchy, doctors say now -- before allergy season goes into full swing -- is a good time to start taking your antihistamines, nasal sprays and eye drops.
"People wait too long and they wait until they are very symptomatic and they start taking medicines, but you are kind of behind the eight ball because you're trying to catch up," Mount Sinai Hospital's Dr. Beth Corn said.
Experts say keep your windows closed to reduce your exposure ragweed pollen.
And if you are outside for a while, change your clothes and rinse off when possible.
