Mpls. Police: 1 Injured After Car Goes Airborne 75 Feet, Lands On Parked Minivans

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Minneapolis police are investigating after a car went airborne and landed upside down on the top of two parked minivans Monday morning.

According to police, a car was heading southeast on Fifth Street Northeast when it missed a curve, hit an embankment and went airborne 75 feet. It then landed on its roof on top of two minivans, which were parked at the Holmes Greenway Apartment building.

The driver suffered minor injuries and was taken to the Hennepin County Medical Center.

There were no other injuries.

Police are now investigating if drugs or alcohol were impairing the driver.
